I just got my first full "weekend" off and I thought it would be great to not do anything but it's absolutly sucks that I don't have a car. I wanted to go birdwatch in Haleakala but the company car can't go that far. I sat around playing Magical Starsign all day yesturday. *sigh* Woe is me, I get to play video games all day... :P''

I know I just returned from my visit in SoCal but I definately miss it already. It's having so many friends there that make it so hard. I was in Rochester for only a few days before I had to hop across the country to Hawaii. It's my first day off and I've settled in some. I'm caring for 4 species of endangered bird, including the Nene (Hawaiian goose). Cute as button, but let me tell you, being a zookeeper isn't as glamorous as it seems. I spend 4hr each morning spraying goose poop in the grass. And when you're cooped up all day, I can see why flying onto your caretaker's head would be entertaining. He's cackling at me...

On an unrelated note, I can't wait to see all your costumes from SDCC, have fun you guys!

I had a blast at AX! It was great to see everyone, I had feared that everyone forgot me and I'd return to a friend-less lj. New York is OK, a bit dull compared to California and I can't wait to return. I spent most of the last year working on my costume and watching tv (read: unemployed), a semi-typical housewife, bored at home and gaining weight, so I didn't have anything interesting to yak about. I'm still in LA visiting friends for 2 weeks, then I return to Rochester for 4 days, clean the house, setup the hubby to fend for himself and jetting off to Maui before the end of the month. I picked up a 6mo internship to work with endangered birds near Haleakala Nat'l Park. It pays peanuts but they've got tons of data that needs to be compiled into a paper so hopefully I'll return a published woman!

I think it's high time I wrote something worthy in my lj. Today is my wedding day and I've never been so stressed in my life. I wanted to invite everyone to virtually attend/spy on my reception:

http://www.jamesreserve.edu/WebcamFiles/RoboCam.html

In the case anyone catches one of my guests picking their nose or something. Anyhow, have fun, I'll have a post wedding update.
